Britannia Storage Systems were asked by MG Barkers in 2002 to provide a working quotation within 7 days for a mezzanine floor with mobile shelving above and below for the HSE National Archive whose current filing capacity of 4957 linear metres (42630 filing wallets) had reached its maximum potential.
Our site survey, specification, drawings and proposals for a mezzanine with filing above and below giving 6095 linear metres of new filing shelving (51872 filing wallets) were submitted discussed and order placed subject to building control approval.
The installation was completed 10 weeks later.
Britannia Storage Systems were again asked by MG Barkers in 2009 to provide a working quotation for mobile shelving for the HSE National Archive whose current filing capacity of 11052 linear metres (94502 filing wallets) had reached its maximum potential.
A ground floor only mobile shelving system was locate in an area previously used for static shelving giving further expansion of 1266 linear metres of shelving( 10774 filing wallets).
These mobiles had the added safety equipment of chains and no entry boards at the non operating end to prevent personnel entering from the adjacent work area during operation.

Peter Lovatt (Business Development Director) of MG Barkers conveyed his appreciation for the professional manner in which the expanded mobile archive shelving was designed and installed to his clients satisfaction.
